Every folder unlock in War Thunder sits behind one or more required vehicles. This calculator follows requiredVehicle links from the datamine, lists the path, and sums research RP, purchase SL, and train1 crew cost.

Optionally mark a vehicle you already own to cut the path and only total what remains. Premiums and event vehicles may show zero research — we display the cache value, not a guessed GE conversion.

What this unlock calculator does not include

Boosters, wagers, battle pass free XP, squadron discounts, and expert/ace crew beyond basic train are outside the automatic total. Use the Crew Cost Calculator for expert/ace estimates, and the RP Grind Calculator to turn remaining RP into battles at your average pace.

Folder UI quirks and some event gates can be incomplete upstream. Always cross-check odd branches in the client tech tree.

Frequently asked questions

Is this the same as the Tech Tree Planner?
Same graph. The planner emphasizes the route UI; this page emphasizes RP/SL/crew totals. Use either entry point.
Do GE vehicles break the path?
If requiredVehicle links skip or null out, the chain stops where the cache stops. Packs and marketplace units often have unusual unlock edges.
