War Thunder Ban Appeal & Account Issues

What to do if you are banned, restricted, or locked out — official Gaijin support only. Includes scam warnings and what not to do.

Only Gaijin can unban you

If your War Thunder account is banned, suspended, or restricted, the only legitimate path is through Gaijin’s official support / account systems. There is no community moderator, Reddit fixer, or paid Telegram service that can cleanly reverse a Gaijin enforcement action for you.

Do not share your password, backup codes, email login, or authenticator codes with anyone offering an “unban.” That is how accounts get stolen.

No Discord “unban service” is real help

Anyone asking for your password, Steam guard codes, or payment to “unban” you is a scam. Full stop.

How to appeal the right way

Go to the official Gaijin support site (support.gaijin.net) while logged into the affected account if the client still allows it. If you cannot log in, use the support flow for account access problems and prove ownership with purchase emails / registration details.

Open a ticket in the correct category (ban / restriction / account access). Be calm and factual.

Include: exact in-game nickname, approximate date/time of the ban message, platform (PC / console / launcher), a screenshot of the ban notice, and a short explanation of what you were doing. If you were falsely reported, say so clearly without writing a novel.

One clear ticket beats five angry duplicates. Duplicates slow everything down.

Common reasons people get banned or restricted

Cheats, injectors, radar hacks, macros that violate the rules, and other client manipulation.

Account sharing / selling / RMT (real-money trading of accounts or currency) where it breaks Gaijin rules.

Toxicity, hate speech, or severe chat/conduct violations — yes, chat can cost accounts.

Payment fraud chargebacks and related billing abuse can also lock accounts.

This site is not Gaijin Legal. Policies change — read the current EULA / rules in the client or on official pages when you appeal.

What will not help

Creating a second account to dodge a ban can violate rules and make things worse. Do not treat “just make a new one” as clever advice if you are trying to get the original restored.

Insulting support staff in the ticket.

Paying a stranger for an “unban tool.”

Posting your login on forums “so someone can check.”

If you were hacked

Change the email password, enable 2FA wherever Gaijin / your email / Steam / Epic / platform allows it, and contact support immediately with proof you own the account.

List recent strange purchases or GE movements you did not make. Revoke suspicious linked logins where possible.

After recovery, export a fresh Controls backup and review linked payment methods.

Forgot password — use the official recovery flow only.

Email change — do it through official account settings / support, not third parties.

Platform transfer / progression questions — ask support or read current official FAQ; rules differ by store and region.

If support says the ban is final, that is their decision. We cannot overturn it from a fan site.
